The IIFL Foundation is a not-for-profit organization that works to improve the quality of education in India. In Rajasthan, the foundation has launched a project to train 11,622 teachers from 5,811 schools in the five aspirational districts of Dholpur, Baran, Karauli, Jaisalmer, and Sirohi.
IIFL Foundation under the leadership of Mrs. Madhu Jain has become one of the largest corporate social responsibility foundations in the field of education in India. The foundation already runs one of the largest girl child literacy programs – Sakhiyon Ki Baadi – in Rajasthan. The training is being conducted in partnership with the National Institute of Educational Planning and Administration and the Government of Rajasthan.
The project aims to positively impact the education of 4.03 lakh students. The project will also provide learning kits, smart education apps, a dedicated TV channel, and residential training facilities. This project will help to reduce the drop-out rate of students from Govt. School, especially among girls, the reason being lower literacy level
The training “also focuses on providing an in-depth understanding of the Right to Education Act and the National Education Policy”. The current project to reach out to more students is a part of the Government of India’s apex public policy think tank – NITI Aayog Official’s efforts to bolster educational facilities across aspirational districts. IIFL Foundation is supporting Sampark Foundation which is the implementing organization.
